This will probably shock everyone that I am posting in our role reversal relationship, but don't get used to it because Bryan will still most likely do most of the blogging. I made a new pole in which you will have to read on our left column where it says "deep thoughts by Mr. Jack H." to participate. This is my attempt to keep our blog updated. So please share your thoughts. I hope you enjoy it.

Just wondering...

K, I know you have all forgotten about us already since I broke the #1 rule of blogging to post regularly, but Im going to try this anyway just in case my imaginary audience is still out there. So, I was looking at everyone else's blog and began to notice, or at least I think I noticed, that it was primarily the wives doing the blogging. Should I be worried that Im the husband and Im doing the blogging in our home? Did I stumble upon the online form of scrapbooking? Im starting to question my manliness here so help me out! (I know many of you have probably questioned that already) So, please participate in my poll on the right and/or leave a comment. Thanks!

Merry Christmas!

Well I figured it was about time to make our annual post! Just kidding. I would like to post more, but Ive been too lazy during school. Since my finals are over with I dont have an excuse anymore :-) Things are going well here at the Whetton home. Everybody is healthy and in one piece....so far. I had some good news last thursday. As most of you know, I started the seminary teaching program this semester. I used to be doing premed/dental and all that stuff, but I decided to make it a back up plan. Well anywho, Thursday we found out if we were going to be invited back to take the next class or not. There were almost 130 people in the program, and they were only going to take 45. Well I was extremely blessed to be invited back. I cant tell you how relieved and grateful I was. Still not sure why I was picked, since there were a lot of amazing teachers that did not get invited back. Someone once told me that its like having a perfect suit that just doesn't fit right. Some people fit the seminary program while others don't I guess. Thats not to say I fit, I still have 3 more semesters to go before I can be hired full-time, and there are more cuts every semester (reminds me of trying out for high school football...).

Sarah is doing great. She is diligently raising our 3 wonderful boys, while their Dad is off running around working and going to school. She does a great job regardless. Parker is getting bigger every day. He still loves to laugh and be tossed in the air. That kid is fearless! Well, we are all looking forward to Christmas. Dont forget our new address when sending all your presents...just kidding again. Did I mention that we had moved since our last post? We now live in Lehi, right next to Thanksgiving point. Its great for the kids since we have a year long membership to the dinosaur museam there. Well take care and see you all hopefully over the holidays!

Sarah's passion

I forgot to mention in my post yesterday about Sarah's tennis playing. Lately her and another sister from the ward, Janine Tanner, have been playing tennis 3 times a week at 6 in the morning! Thats too early for me. I work nights and am barely going to bed by 5 am. Well she has been getting really good and between her and Sister Tanner they have been getting a lot of the ward motivated to play. This thursday they are hosting a tennis clinic for whoever is interested. Im just glad she has finally got a dedicated tennis partner so she will stop dragging me out of bed at the break of dawn to go play :) Just kidding, we still go play occasionally (just not in the morning).

Another picture of Parker

Wanted to post one more picture to emphasize Parker's "chubbiness". My Dad said he kinda looked like the Michelin tire guy, so I thought I would post a comparison and see what everyone else thinks lol.

Its been a while...

Here's a cute picture of Parker. He's been growing up so fast and getting really chubby!

Jayden and Ammon in their Sunday best one day before church doing their "serious" pose.

This is an example of Sarah's artistic picture taking! Notice their shirts. That was Sarah's idea.

Grandpa cook decided to buy some pink hairspray for the dog, so of course the kids had to get in on the action. For those who dont know the child on the left is Jayden and Ammon's cousin Will.

"My precious..."

Hey all sorry its been so long since our last post. We have just been enjoying the summer and the time off school. Ive also been to lazy to do anything new :( Well anywho, I wont make this long just thought I would post a few pictures to update on Parker growing up and some of the goofy things the kids have been doing. There really hasn't been anything new or exciting going on, just a lot of lazy summer days (my favorite!). We did catch a toad on one of our family walks which was pretty exciting expecially for the kids. Darn thing peed all over me though...

Kite flying!

Wow two posts within a week. I'm on a role. Well, I ditched class the other day to spend some time with the fam and we decided to go fly a kite! It was a perfect day for it. The sun was out and the wind was blowing pretty good. We had a fun time and the boys sure loved it. In fact, the wind was so good that we didn't have to put much effort at all into flying the kite. We just kind of stood there holding the string and the kite flew itself.

Check out my mad kite flying skills! No hands!

Once we let Ammon fly the kite and sure enough he let go. The kite started to fly away until the string got caught on a fence. Amazingly the kite just stayed there flying itself. It was pretty funny.

Parker's Blessing

Hello All!

Well its been over a month since our last post. I'm really bad at this and I hope you all haven't given up on us. There really hasn't been anything new in our lives until sunday when we blessed Parker in church. It was nice to have all the family come visit us and show their support. Although, my wonderfully punctual brother Cory walked in just after we had started the blessing and didn't get to stand in the circle. What a slacker! Just kidding Cory if you read this. I felt bad because there were two blessings and they asked us to go first and I didn't have the guts to get up and ask the bishopric if we could go second. So it's mostly my fault...your still a slacker though Cory...j/k. Well anyway, here a few pictures of the family and Parker. The first few are of Parker in a spider costume. We figured he was going to be too big for it by the time Halloween roles around. The next one is on the day we blessed Parker. The last couple are just a couple cute ones of Jayden. In one he is talking to Grandma Whetton while trying to keep a binky in Parker's mouth at the same time. He is such a good big brother!
Parker is getting big so fast. We can tell he is going to be a happy baby. He loves to smile and is always so content. We are truly blessed to have three wonderful boys. They are truly a joy in our lives (most of the time). It makes school a little tougher but it's worth it!

Sarah had her baby!

I can already tell that I'm not going to be very good at keeping this thing updated. Anyway, I had to let everyone know that Sarah gave birth to a beautiful baby boy tuesday morning on 22 January 2008. He weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 19 inches long. It came as a bit of a suprise since he was almost 4 weeks early. I was just getting ready to get off work at about 5 in the morning when Sarah called to let me know that her water had broke, we rushed to the hospital and by 12:44 pm he was born. Well I got loads of homework to do so I better cut this short. Here is some pics of our handsome son.

Our first post!

Hello all!

Im trying to take what Elder Ballard said in his address to BYU-Hawaii graduates and start blogging. I rarely have anything interesting to say so I'll mostly talk about what our family is up to. I hope to expand this eventually and talk more about my next two favorite topics after my family; Politics and Religion!
Until then my family and I are doing great. Right now we live in Draper with my wonderful in-laws. As fun as it is we do miss having our own place and hope to be financially stable enough soon to get a place. I'm still plugging away at school at BYU trying to finish my BA in Ancient Near Eastern Studies and get into dental school. Sarah just finished up at the Utah College of Massage Therapy and is preparing for her national and state licensing tests. So, if anyone wants a good massage, I recommend Shiatzu, she's the one to go too! Although you might want to wait a month she is about to pop with our third son sometime mid-February. If anyone has any good name ideas let us know.
Jayden and Ammon are as cute as ever and growing up fast. Jayden had his first week in primary. He did pretty well from what I've been told, but he does miss the nursery. Poor little Ammon is without his brother in nursery now, but I don't think he notices since he is too preoccupied with all the toys.
Well thats about it for now. I'll post some pictures and other stuff soon.
Bryan
